The Great Debate is an annual showcase hosted by the Rollins College Debate Team under the leadership of Eric Smaw, professor of philosophy at Rollins.
This year’s resolution addressed whether presidents and prime ministers should be granted immunity from criminal prosecution after leaving office. Representing Rollins College, Anna Haber and Jiya Manchanda argued in favor, while students from Hellenic American University opposed the resolution.
In the end, after careful deliberation, the judges declared Hellenic American University the winner of The Great Debate.
