Fox Day took place on April 7 this year, with the campus alert going out at 6:08 a.m. The festivities kicked off early, with donuts handed out on Mills Lawn starting at 6 a.m., followed by the distribution of T-shirts at 8 a.m.
This year’s Fox Day shirt featured President Cornwell riding his signature blue Vespa alongside the iconic fox, paying homage to his final Fox Day as Rollins’ 15th president.
This year’s celebration landed on a Monday, breaking tradition from previous Fox Days during President Cornwell’s tenure, which were always held on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or, in one rare case in 2020, a Friday.
Other morning highlights included fox plushies being handed out on the Knowles Memorial Chapel Lawn and a bouncy house on Mills Lawn. After a brief lunch break at noon, the fun resumed with more T-shirt pickup slots, kayaking, paddleboarding, and a picnic to wrap up the day.
