WPRK’s annual music festival, Fox Fest, returns Nov. 6. Coinciding with Family Weekend, the event will take place on Bush Lawn from 6pm to 10pm.
“It’s a great way to create community among the Rollins community, and the greater Winter Park community as well,” said Madison Bailey, WPRK business assistant. “I’m looking forward to seeing all of the families coming together.”
The event showcases Rollins students Victoria Padron (‘23) and Anthony Argos (‘25) alongside other artists such as Twin Suns and Palomino Blond. The event’s headliner is Kaelin Ellis, a multi-platinum music producer.
Aside from musical performances, Fox Fest attendees will find food trucks and other local vendors.
This year’s Fox Fest celebrates WPRK’s 70th anniversary. The student-run radio station was founded back in 1952.
“I think some alumni will be there as well for the 70th anniversary which is really cool,” said Bailey. “I am just excited to celebrate the great things that WPRK has done. It’s been a groundbreaking radio station—not just in Winter Park, but for colleges in Orlando in general.”
Fox Fest will be hosted by Student Government President Akheem Mitchell (‘23) and Vice President Sendy Sejourne (‘23).
The event is open to the public. Rollins students and staff receive complimentary entry with reservation, while general admission tickets cost $10 and can be purchased on EventBrite.
