The Student Government Association has undergone elections over this past month to select its new executive board and class senator positions for the 2024-2025 school year. Each candidate proves to be passionate and committed to representing and voicing the concerns of their class.
For the Executive Board, Joseph Pool (‘26) has returned as Student Body President alongside Eltavious Johnson (26’) as the Vice-President. The inclusions of James Hall (‘26), Liv McCoy (‘26), Lina Baly (‘25), Aaliyah Hammer-Furbert (‘27), Evan Link (‘25), Sophia Cassa (‘25), Charlie Curci (‘27), María Atanassov (‘25), and Makenna Gary (‘26) make for a well-rounded board.
Through elections, the freshman class selected Aiden Bernstein (‘28), Sabina Visovatti (‘28), and Jack Hayes (‘28) to represent them as first-year senators.
The sophomore class voted on Farrell Donnelly (‘27), Leila Betts (‘27), and Ryan Bradshaw (‘27) to act as their voice in the senate.
The third years initially elected Shawn Larose (‘26) and Kavon Griggs (‘26) to represent them as senators. Later, the final vacant seat was filled by Anna Ensink (‘26) at the first Senate meeting via voting by the Senate.
Elizabeth Hall (‘25) stood as a lone candidate for the senior class, later being joined by Vern Andrews (‘25).
If you’d like to share your voice and stay updated on upcoming plans, senate meetings are held every Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Galloway room in Kathleen W. Rollins Hall and are open to all students.
