Photo Gallery: Mimouna: The Festival of Good Neighbors

Students, staff, and faculty gathered at Rice Pavilion to take part in a centuries-old tradition centered around shared meals and interfaith celebration. The event, hosted by Breaking Bread in collaboration with the Rollins Muslim Student Union and Rollins College Hillel, celebrated Mimouna—a Moroccan-Jewish tradition that marks the end of Passover and honors friendship, hospitality, and coexistence.

Dean Dorrell Briscoe and Joseph Pool (‘26), President and Founder of Breaking Bread, opened the evening with remarks about the historical and cultural significance of Mimouna, highlighting its roots in interfaith collaboration. Attendees enjoyed a variety of Mediterranean dishes while engaging in meaningful conversations across cultures and traditions. At one table, conversations about religion unfolded, with students reflecting on how their faith has shaped their lives and perspectives.
