The Rollins Museum of Art opened 6 new exhibitions on September 13, 2024. They were excited to debut their new bilingual didactics in all the exhibitions as part of a effort to increase accessibility of the museum. They also announced that they received $10 million to help build a bigger museum by the Alfond Inn in order to display a wider range of art. The new exhibits being featured were: Nostalgia for my Island: Puerto Rican Painting from Mueso de Arte de Ponce, Beyond the Surface: Capturing Meaning Through Portcuiture, Art Encounters: Rethinking My Relationship to the Land, The Fantastical Mundane: Selections for the Grasset’s and Linares Collections, Critical Reading: Book Arts in Dialogue with the Collection, and What’s New: Recent Acquisitions.
