The Rollins Museum of Art hosted Ten Tiny Dances on November 12, 2024. According to the CoCo Loupe website, “Ten Tiny Dances® was created in Portland, Oregon in 2002 and continues to be produced by founder Mike Barber and others, with permission. Ten choreographers are challenged to each create a dance on a 4’x4’ stage.” Beyond limiting their boundaries, the Rollins Dance Program found a way to connect this concept and make it their own. “Ten Tiny Dances® was a collaboration between the Dance Program and the Rollins Museum of Art,” said Robin Gerchman, Director of the Dance Program. “Each choreographer responded to a work of art that they chose from the exhibition, ‘Critical Reading.’”
